👩‍🏫 General Exam Information

  • Time: 10–12 minutes

  • Participants: 2 candidates + 2 examiners

  • Parts: 4 (Interaction, Description, Discussion, and Conversation)

🧩 Part 1 – Personal Questions (Interview)

Examiner's Questions:

  1. What’s your name?

  2. Where are you from?

  3. Do you do any sports or physical activities?

  4. What do you usually eat for breakfast?

  5. How often do you exercise?

  6. What do you usually do to relax?

  7. Do you think it’s important to eat healthily? Why?

  8. Do you prefer cooking at home or eating out? Why?

⏱️ Time: 3 minutes

🖼️ Part 2 – Describing a Photo

Each candidate gets one picture and describes it alone for about 1 minute.

Candidate A – Picture

(Describe the photo below for one minute.
🖼️ Topic: Healthy Living – doing exercise outdoors

Task:
“Here is your photograph. Please tell me what you can see in the picture.”

⏱️ Time: 1 minute each

💬 Part 3 – Collaborative Task (Discourse)

Here is your prompt and a situation to talk about.

🖼️ Topic: Choosing ways to stay healthy

People want to improve their health. Here are some ideas:

  • Join a gym

  • Eat more fruit and vegetables

  • Take long walks every day

  • Sleep at least 8 hours

  • Drink more water

  • Spend less time using phones and computers

Task:
Talk about which ideas are the most useful for staying healthy, and decide which one would help people the most.

⏱️ Time:

First phase 1:30 minutes of talking time. (discussion)

Second phase 30 seconds to come to a conclusion. (decision)

Important note*

In the actual exam, you will be given a visual prompt; a paper full of pictures), and you will have about 3 minutes to speak with your partner in the first phase and then in the second phase, you will have only 1 minute to come to a conclusion.

🎯 Part 4 – Discussion (Follow-up questions)

Examiner asks general questions related to the theme of Part 3.

Task:

  • Do you think it’s easy to live a healthy life? Why or why not?

  • What can people do to reduce stress?

  • Do young people today eat healthily?

  • Why do some people find it hard to exercise regularly?

  • What are some good habits for staying healthy?
