Going out activities

go to / visit a museum – ir a / visitar un museo
Example: I want to go to a museum this weekend.

go running – salir a correr
Example: I sometimes go running in the morning.

GRAMMAR – SUGGESTIONS (LET’S / SHALL WE)

We use Let’s and Shall we to make suggestions.

• Use Let’s + verb to suggest something
• Use Shall we + verb to ask for a suggestion

Examples

Let’s go to the park.
Let’s go shopping.
Let’s meet at eight o’clock.
Let’s go to a restaurant.

Shall we go running?
Shall we go swimming?
Shall we meet friends?
Shall we go to a museum?

DIALOGUE – MAKING PLANS

Anna: What do you want to do today?
Mark: I don’t know. Shall we go to the park?

Anna: Good idea! Let’s meet at eight o’clock.
Mark: Perfect. Shall we go to a restaurant after?

Anna: Yes! Let’s go to a restaurant near the park.
Mark: Great. I want to see friends too.

Today is Saturday, and I want to relax. I usually go out with friends or meet friends in the evening. Sometimes we go to a restaurant, or we go to the park. Today, we say, “Let’s meet at eight o’clock and go shopping.” Sometimes we also go swimming or go running. I enjoy my free time because I can see friends and have fun.
