WARM UP

Think about clothes.

VOCABULARY – CLOTHES

Clothes

shirt – camisa
Example: I wear a shirt to work.

T-shirt – camiseta
Example: I wear a T-shirt at home.

dress – vestido
Example: She is wearing a dress.

jeans – vaqueros
Example: I wear jeans every day.

skirt – falda
Example: She likes this skirt.

shoes – zapatos
Example: These shoes are new.

trainers – zapatillas
Example: I wear trainers for sport.

jacket – chaqueta
Example: I wear a jacket in winter.

glasses – gafas
Example: I wear glasses every day.

smartwatch – reloj inteligente
Example: I have a smartwatch.

trousers – pantalones
Example: These trousers are comfortable.

GRAMMAR – PLURAL (-S, -ES, -IES)

We use different endings to make plurals.

• Add -s to most words
• Add -es to words ending in -s, -sh, -ss -ch, -x
• Change -y → -ies for some words

Examples

• one shirt → two shirts
• one dress → two dresses
• one watch → two watches

• one baby → two babies
• one city → two cities

• These are my shoes.

Mark: I am wearing jeans and a T-shirt.

Anna: Do you like those shoes?
