SHORT ARTICLE
The advent of social media has created new opportunities for people to become successful without working for traditional companies. An accomplished professional can now share their knowledge online and build followers around their interests.
Some creators focus on practical information, while others explore conceptual ideas. A good chart can make complicated information easier to understand, while an allegory can communicate a difficult idea through a simple story.
Successful creators are often charismatic, but personality is not everything. Banter, useful information and consistent content can also help someone develop an audience.
However, some creators become caught up in the past, especially when they compare their current success with earlier periods of their lives. As far as social media goes, the most successful people usually focus on creating something useful for their audience today.
